Everyone always says that cats are so friggin' unfriendly, right? Cats are aloof, cats are uncaring, cats only give you the slightest bit of attention when they want you to feed them. All cat haters say that. But we know better. We, cat people, know that they are wrong. We know that cats can love, and when they do, they love hard. They're just also a little pickier about the creatures that they choose to give their love too, and personally, we think that's completely valid. 

But yes, when cats love, they truly love with all of their hearts. And they can love all kinds of creatures. We have seen cats be friends with dogs, we have seen cats be friends with birds, and we have even seen a kitten become best friends with a pig. And today, we've got yet another adorable kitty friendship, the kind that we have never seen before.

    We appreciate the caveat about the pets being supervised, we really do, because it means that we, the animal people of the internet, are doing our jobs correctly. Yes, animal friendships are adorable, but you know what's even more adorable? Animals being safe and well-taken care of.

    And yes. Yup. These animals being friends is totally adorable, and we can enjoy their awwdorability without any hint of guilt, knowing that they have a lovely owner taking care of them both. We wish these little guys many happy and healthy years together, full of endless adorable shenanigans.

    ForgottenHylian • 4d ago My family had a ferret and cat pair that bonded like this. The cat would beg for the ferret to be let out and they would immediately get to playing. They would become a tumbling ball of fur bouncing off furniture and legs alike. This would go until they both were tired out and then curl up together to sleep.     Tacocat0927 OP • 3d ago I don't leave my ferrets out of their cage unsupervised whether or not there are other animals present. They tend to get into places that one would think a creature could never fit into. Plus they tend to play rough so I never want to leave the cat unsupervised around him. However, when the cat gets bigger I also want to make sure he doesn't beat up on the ferret .With every animal cohabitation situation, you should always be cautious. 130 Reply ↑ Share ...
